BAND BENEFITS

Gym in a Bag Facts

WARNING: Please consult a physican before beginning any exercise program.

The use of resistance bands is easier on the joints then using a dumbbell.

Resistance bands have variable resistance applied through the full range of motion of an exercise, over a constant weight of a dumbbell.

Training with resistance bands is great to gain muscle and lose weight.

Considered safer over dumbbells, resistance bands don't rely on gravity to provide the resistance. Which makes a great alternative for seniors to use; or a child to get into an exercise routine.

Resistance bands can also assist your progress with difficult exercises. For example, for those wanting to get better at pull-ups, simply attach the resistance band to the bar and either under your knee or foot to work your way up to an unassisted version. As you perform the pull-up with the band, your weight is supported by the band, making the exercise more accessible.

Resistance bands naturally limit your range of motion, overextension of the joints is far less likely compared to the use of dumbbells.

Based on position of the resistance band, you can work the whole body to gain strength, flexibility and joint mobility, this can help enhance your core strength, posture and circulation.

Resistance bands can performed in a weight-bearing position, sitting in a chair or lying down.

Testimonials

“Benefit of resistance bands are so versatile. You can do everything with a band that you can do with a weight: stand on one and do bicep curls, lateral raises, front raises and upright rows, hang one from a bar or tree to do lateral pull-downs or tie it to a bench.” -Skym

Just wanted you to know that I'm enjoying the band workouts. By the way, I'll be celebrating my 76th birthday next week with Gym in a Bag workout. I attribute much of my physical and even mental well-being to my resistance band habit. Thanks for your contribution to my quality of life. -Paul B
